A pioneer of travel technology
Arkman was founded in 1979 by Bülent Arkman, who had started working in computer software in 1972. Between 1979 and 1981, he taught Turkey's first specialized programming course, training a new generation of software developers.
That same year, Arkman developed the first INCOMING software in Turkey. In 1984, Bülent Arkman sold the custom software written for Penta Dış Ticaret to Switzerland and launched it there — an early milestone in our international journey.
The Ticket Back Office and Current Account software, first developed in 1978 and a first in both Turkey and the world, is today preferred by more than 1,200 travel agencies, seven of them abroad.
